It's most useful for those who routinely collaborate with a small group of other Dropbox users. The main purpose of Paper is collaboration. But if you think it's just a Google Docs clone, you're missing the point. At its core, Paper is a cloud-based word processing program, much like Google Docs. What is Paper, and when and why might you want to use it? I'm just going to give you a very quick taste of Paper here. In many cases the document is not even intended for sophisticated formatting it’s meant to be an online collaborative effort that team members can access via or the Dropbox mobile app.- When you sign into, you'll see Paper listed right next to Files in the left sidebar area. Yes, you can print out a copy of the document or save it as a. However, Dropbox Paper is not meant to be a Microsoft Word replacement. In that sense, it’s actually easy to start writing without the distraction of buttons or rulers or prompts. Rather, it looks like a blank page with a few places to enter a title, type text, or add other elements, including photos and documents from your Dropbox account. When using Paper, there is no toolbar with icons or menu options at the top of the page. While that description may sound a lot like a word processor, it behaves quite differently than Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
